Lodging is provided at a luxury home in the Smoky mountains.Â
The retreat is hosted in Sevierville, Tennessee. McGhee Tyson Airport (TYS) in Knoxville, Asheville Regional Airport (AVL), and Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport (CHA). Transportation to and from the airport is not included.Â

About Justin Rizzo
I started leading worship and writing songs when I was 12 years old, and not long after, a mentor asked me what my dream was.
I told him: “I want to impact people through worship, music, and the arts.” That simple conversation launched me into a journey I’m still on today.
Over the past 20 years, I’ve led thousands of hours of worship, written hundreds of songs, released multiple albums, and produced full-length musicals and films, but it hasn’t all been easy.
I’ve wrestled with fear, insecurity, burnout, and loneliness.
That’s why I created The Journey Songwriting Retreat, to create the kind of space I wish I’d had in my early years: one of encouragement, clarity, and deep connection with others on a similar path.
This retreat is a small, intentional gathering designed to refresh your soul and reignite your calling.
If you’ve felt stuck, isolated, or unsure where to go next as a songwriter, or maybe you've never even written a song, I believe this retreat could mark a turning point in your journey.

3-Days of Songwriting, Rest, and Community
 THE SCHEDULE
SUNDAY
Arrival & Kickoff
Check into your room and head to the grand room for a warm welcome dinner and casual hangout. This is your on-ramp to the journey, an evening of connection and expectation.
MONDAY
Writing & Soul Care
We begin the day with vision-casting and worship, then break into co-writing groups. In the evening, you’ll enjoy time for rest, creative freedom, and fireside conversations that invite depth, story, and reflection.
TUESDAY
Creation & Worship Night
Dive into another full day of songwriting. That night, we gather in the grand room for a powerful night of worship and song sharing, featuring new songs written during the retreat. This night is open to the public (friends or family staying nearby), and will be unforgettable.
WEDNESDAY
Send-Off & Blessing
Our final morning wraps with a time of creative blessing, prayer, and reflection. You’ll leave refreshed, refocused, and filled with new songs, new friendships, and a deeper sense of calling.
